The AFL wishes to congratulate the Brisbane Lions' Breanna Koenen and North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos' Libby Birch ahead of their 100th AFLW games this weekend.

Koenen and Birch will become the third and fourth players to reach 100 AFLW games after the Adelaide Crows' Ebony Marinoff and Brisbane Lions' Ally Anderson became the first two players to achieve the milestone in Round 7 this season.

"On behalf of the AFL, I would like to congratulate Breanna and Libby on reaching 100 AFLW games," AFL CEO Andrew Dillon said.

"As just the third and fourth players in the competition's history to achieve this feat, it is a testament to their work ethic, professionalism and the level at which they have contributed to the game, and marks another significant moment in the milestone 10th NAB AFLW season.

"Breanna and Libby are not only premiership players, with five flags between them, but also respected leaders at their clubs and incredible role models within the game.

"It’s going to be a special occasion on Saturday for both the Lions and Kangaroos, and I encourage all fans to get along to Brighton Homes Arena and IKON Park to celebrate Breanna and Libby's milestone games."

The AFL's Historian has compiled a list of key numbers and achievements across Koenen and Birch's careers:

• 3 x AFLW premiership player: 2018 – Western Bulldogs, 2022 S7 – Melbourne, and 2024 – North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos
• Birch is the only person across the VFL/AFL and AFLW competitions to have won premierships at three different clubs as a player (four other people have achieved the feat as a combination of player and coach)
• Birch is one of three AFLW players to have played in every possible game since the competition started in 2017. Ebony Marinoff and Ally Anderson are the others
• Birch is the only person to have played in a win in the opening round of all 10 AFLW seasons.
• In 2024, Birch became the first person to have played in wins against all 18 AFLW teams (four other players have now also achieved the feat)
