THIS year's NAB AFLW Season has already smashed the all-time attendance record with two rounds of the home-and-away campaign remaining.
More than 283,000 fans have already passed through the gates this season, surpassing the previous mark of 268,349 set in 2025.
Young Carlton fan Raffy was the 268,350th fan through the gates this season, scanning into Ikon Park on Saturday for the Blues' clash with the Western Bulldogs.
To mark the milestone, Raffy was surprised by Carlton forward Tara Bohanna with an AFLW prize pack.
Crowds were up from the outset, with round one alone drawing more fans than the opening two rounds combined last season.
That figure was helped by two AFL/AFLW double-headers at Marvel Stadium. The season-opener between St Kilda and Carlton attracted a crowd of 20,455, followed by 14,573 fans turning up to watch North Melbourne v Geelong.
That momentum continued in round two, when 16,672 fans attended Sydney's AFL/AFLW double-header at the SCG, setting a new attendance record for a Swans AFLW match.
Several of the competition's heartland venues have also reached new highs this season.
A crowd of 7340 watched the Sydney Derby at Henson Park in round five, while 4048 turned out for North Melbourne's clash with Carlton at Arden Street Oval, setting new AFLW attendance records at both grounds.
In round eight, 5411 fans packed into Alberton Oval for the Showdown between Port Adelaide and Adelaide.
The record continues an upward trend for the competition, with total AFLW attendance now increasing year-on-year since the League expanded to 18 teams in 2022.
