NORTH Melbourne will be looking to regenerate its list through the upcoming NAB AFLW Draft.

Speaking to the Credit to the Girls podcast, the club's AFLW performance and list manager Rhys Harwood said the average age of players who had left the club (including Kate Gillespie-Jones, Georgia Hammond, Jas Grierson and Vivien Saad) was around 27.5.

"I think the reality of it is the four times we played the [eventual] preliminary finalists, we lost all the games," Harwood said.

"I'd be concerned if we walked away at the end of the season thinking we were unlucky and not knowing what we need to fix in order to improve, but I think we've been able to identify a couple of pretty key areas of our system that need improvement.

"We haven't performed consistently enough when the whips have been cracking.

"We're certainly not here to get participation awards or clap ourselves off the ground when we're overrun in an elimination final. I think everyone's got a pretty clear message of where things are at."
