Footy club volunteers give countless hours each week, month, and year organising player recruitment, sponsorship, uniforms, club functions, playing equipment, coaching sessions, canteens, match day co-ordination and plenty more behind the scenes. Many volunteers take on multiple roles to ensure that all club functions are covered for the benefit of club members.

Here are some quick tips:

1. Communication - Now is the perfect time to reconnect and consider what can we do for our volunteers.

2. Training & Induction - Using 2021 to reset your clubs training and induction process will help them to achieve and maintain satisfaction in their roles.

3. Have some Fun! - Aim to provide opportunities, both digitally and in person with committee, parents and volunteers to help people to feel connected and part of something bigger.

AFL Clubs run off the mates, the passion, the connections, so leverage these to create an engaging atmosphere for your returning (and new!) volunteers, making it easy for them to jump back on the field.
