BRENDON Goddard has delivered an impassioned plea for leaks around the Essendon drugs saga to stop and for the players to be treated with compassion and as human beings.

Details of the Bombers' Anti-Doping Tribunal case and WADA's appeal were published by News Corp on Monday, harming "the psyche and mental wellbeing" of the players, according to club president Paul Little.

In March, the AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal cleared 34 current and former Essendon players of using the prohibited substance thymosin beta-4, but WADA is appealing that verdict.

Goddard said the players had held discussions with the AFL Players' Association on Tuesday and he arrived at his weekly television appearance on Fox Footy with a clear agenda.

He would not be drawn, however, on the question of whether the players would take any action in response to the leaks.

"The cowards who continually leak stuff to people have no respect or compassion for the players," Goddard said.

"They're humans; they're not just players, we're not just footballers.

"They have no compassion towards the men who are going through it, and they have no respect for the process whatsoever."

Goddard said he was "staggered" the confidentiality of the players continued to be breached through the Essendon drugs saga.

"There's only so much the guys can take … and myself, I'm not separating my self because I'm in different circumstances," he said.

"Enough is enough. They're sick of it.

"The people who leak it and the people who write it … they have no compassion.

"There's no confidentiality … a number of times there should have been and there isn't."
