Fiery Hawk cops fine for strike on big Roo

James Sicily has been hit with a fine for striking Mason Wood

FIERY Hawthorn defender James Sicily has escaped suspension after being charged with striking North Melbourne's Mason Wood.

Sicily can accept a $3000 fine with an early guilty plea for a second offence after the incident in Friday night's 22-point loss.

The strike was graded as careless with low impact and high contact.

Sicily was previously fined in round 11 for striking Brisbane's Lincoln McCarthy.
