Always the source of speculation and debate, the fixture for 2014 is expected to reveal new timeslots after the recent move into Monday and Thursday night football.

 

With Anzac Day falling on a Friday, the AFL's plans for the public holiday are also anticipated.

 

In a new development, clubs will grouped in pools of six for fixturing purposes based on their ladder position in 2013 to govern the equality of each club's five double match-ups.   

 

Then there will be the usual intrigue of Friday night football, travel, six-day breaks and venue choices as debate is sparked and planning for the new season begins.
