The Western Bulldogs, as one of the 18 clubs of the Australian Football League (AFL) and situated in the fastest growing region of Australia, is breaking new ground in delivering sustainable, high level performances, both on and off the field. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and analytical marketing professional.

The role of Member Marketing & Insights Manager has been created to build on the Club’s continual commitment to strengthen its relationship with its fans and supporters. Working with the General Manager of Membership & Fan Development and the Senior Membership manager to develop strategies to increase member acquisition, member retention and overall membership revenue, this role will manage a series of cross-platform marketing activities that underpin these strategies. Working within the Membership team, the Member Marketing and Insights Manager will also be responsible for developing and presenting insights from the Club’s customer database and managing research programs that help facilitate commercial decision making. Key focus areas include:
  • Developing segmented marketing campaigns to drive member acquisition and retention
  • Creating, managing and executing a sophisticated marketing plan across digital and direct channels<</li>
  • Developing marketing copy and materials, working with the Club’s graphic designer to ensure a consistent application of the Western Bulldogs brand
  • Interpreting complex data, identifying trends, and formulation of actionable insights, recommendations, and solutions at both a campaign and strategic level
  • Undertaking qualitative and quantitative research, including competitor intelligence and industry best practice
This role would suit a bright, commercially aware marketing/commerce graduate with between 2 to 4 years of industry experience, preferably in a marketing agency or a large customer-centric organisation. Working within a small team that is committed to being leaders in customer engagement, an ability to work independently and with a diverse range of stakeholders from across the Club is critical. The candidate must be analytically minded, experienced in utilising reporting tools and have a creative streak. Having enthusiasm, drive and ambition are pre-requisites for this challenging but rewarding role.
