SYDNEY Swan Ryan O’Keefe is considering a move back to Victoria, according to his manager Tom Petroro.

O’Keefe will meet with Melbourne clubs later this week to see what options are available.

“Ryan is considering all of his options at the moment and that includes meeting with a number of other clubs,” Petroro told The Age.

“It would be wrong to say that he has walked out on the Sydney Swans.”

Swans coach Paul Roos said he was surprised to hear reports that O’Keefe wanted to leave the club and said negotiations were continuing.

“He certainly hasn’t told us that. That’s news to us,” Roos said.

“As far as I know, they [contract negotiations] are [continuing]. He’s been down in Melbourne for a couple of days from what I can gather, but we haven’t heard from him that he is leaving.”

The Swans have reportedly offered the 27-year-old O’Keefe a three-year deal to remain in Sydney.
