Jesse White and Andrejs Everitt have also been added to the squad after spending last weekend in the reserves, with Swans coach John Longmire saying they can add versatility to the side.

“Jesse we know can come in and play in the ruck, play up forward and play up the ground a bit further,” Longmire told SwansTV.

“Andrejs is able to play on the wing, forward, back, so we know he’s got a bit of flexibility there.”

After jarring his knee in the pre-game warm-up to the Suns game, in-form veteran Jude Bolton will miss again this weekend.

Longmire said he didn’t want take the risk of rushing Bolton back for Sunday’s game.

“He was still a little bit sore earlier on in the week, and we just didn’t want to take the risk of pushing him through training and finding out that we don’t get anywhere and actually might set him back a week,” Longmire said.

Fremantle won on their last visit to the SCG in round 9 last year, and Longmire knows the threat of the team sitting directly below the Swans on the ladder.

“They’re a quality team who are starting to get some players back from injury,” Longmire said.

“They’re the second best in the competition at putting the score on the board once they’re inside their forward 50, so we need to make sure our defence all over the ground is up to scratch and make sure the players in their forward line don’t get too much of the footy.”

The 22-man team to face Fremantle will be announced on sydneyswans.com.au at 5pm tomorrow afternoon.
