JACK Ziebell's season could be over with North Melbourne awaiting specialist advice on his foot injury, while forward Majak Daw has joined the Roos' lengthy list of players who won't play again in 2018.

Ziebell has battled a range of issues with his body this season, but remarkably had not missed a game until his injured foot sidelined him in round 18 and again in last Sunday's loss to Hawthorn.

North coach Brad Scott was reluctant to offer specific details of the midfielder's injury after last Sunday's game but, at the time, was hopeful Ziebell could play the season's final two rounds without doing further damage to his foot.

The Kangaroos announced on Tuesday evening the club would delay making a call on Ziebell's availability for the remainder of 2017 until they received further specialist advice.

"While there's a possibility he could still play against St Kilda on Sunday, the club will defer to specialists to ensure no further damage could be done," the club said on its website.

North said Daw, who last played in the round 19 win over Melbourne, had been ruled out for the rest of the season with a foot injury.

In better news for the Kangaroos, Jarrad Waite (calf) could return against the Saints if he completes training this week without any complications.

Waite has been sidelined for the past two rounds.

The other North players ruled out for the season are Marley Williams (back/shoulder),

Sam Wright (foot/ankle), Jamie Macmillan (finger), Ben Jacobs (lower leg), Ed Vickers-Willis (PCL), Mitchell Hibberd (shoulder), Declan Watson (ACL) and Paul Ahern (ACL).
