THE FIRST round of byes have come and 'Max Gawn'. Thankfully there were a number of players who recognised the occasion and stepped up to fill the void left by many popular players who had their feet up, making the 'par score' for the round approximately 1800.

Finally Michael Barlow has been given the green light to play his natural game in the position that best suits his skill set ... and look at the results! As a coach who regrettably traded Barlow out when he was dropped, I am now looking to bring him back after his bye on the back of 43 possessions, eight tackles and two goals for a round-high 159. Assuming he stays in this role, he is still under-priced based on what he can produce.

Honourable mention: Dayne Zorko is having an outstanding season. He is often forgotten due to playing alongside the Pig Tom Rockliff, but Zorko certainly got it done again against the Eagles with an impressive 147 which included 11 marks and eight tackles.

Unfortunately, the byes bring big expectations from our premium players and after being the buzz player a few weeks ago, Michael Walters really let his coaches down with just 13 possessions, three marks and no tackles on his way to a disappointing 45 ... a far cry from what he was producing.

Honourable mention: Dylan Shiel has been one of the form players of the competition, so his match up against the Bombers this week looked mouth-watering. Unfortunately, his coaches were very disappointed after he didn't manage to take a mark, while collecting 21 possessions for just 67 points.

James Rose continued his great form for the Swans with 16 possessions, six marks, eight tackles and 87 points. He comes at a price now, but his form is undeniable.

Yes, Suckers is a great option! Loves it under the roof.

I wouldn't be trading Goldy. Stick to a traditional downgrade/upgrade.

There was a quick return to normality with a zero point last quarter…

Top five trade targets (post bye):

Gary Ablett
Adam Treloar
Kade Simpson
Sam Docherty
Rory Laird
