Tasmanian Premier and supporter of the Hawks Lara Giddings has submitted her ULTIMATE Hawks Premiership Team and answered a few questions for hawthornfc.com.au on her selections.
Lara Giddings is the 44th and current Premier of Tasmania and has held her position since January 2011. She has been an Australian Labor Party member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly seat of Franklin since 2002.

Who are the non-negotiable selections in your side?
As a proud Tasmanian Premier I have picked a team with a distinct Tasmanian flavour, containing as many Tasmanian players as possible, followed by Hawks premiership players who have played here at club level or as Tassie Hawks at Aurora.
The first three players I selected were past and current homegrown stars in Peter Hudson, Rodney Eade and Grant Birchall.
Talk us through your selections for coach and captain.
I believe Alastair Clarkson is the only Hawks premiership coach to have coached the team in Tasmania for premiership points, and although Peter Hudson didn’t captain a premiership team I couldn’t go past him as captain of my Tassie Hawks Ultimate Premiership Team.
Which players from different eras are you most excited to see line-up in the same team?
I’m particularly excited about having Peter Hudson and Lance Franklin up forward as they’d make a devastating combination, as well as the dash provided by the all-Tasmanian wings in Robertson and Eade.
