The AFL is pleased to announce that Toyota will remain the game’s premier partner for a further two years following agreement to renew the ongoing partnership until 2016.

The announcement was made at last night’s 2014 Toyota AFL Premiership Season launch at the newly developed Adelaide Oval with this year marking 11 years since Toyota joined the AFL as its top tier partner.

AFL CEO, Andrew Demetriou, said: “More than a decade after first joining the AFL as our premier partner, Toyota continues to provide outstanding support to all levels of Australian football.

“We are delighted a company of Toyota’s standing has agreed to renew what has already been an extremely significant partnership for a further two years.

“It has undoubtedly been a tough time for Toyota, and indeed the car manufacturing industry more broadly, and we appreciate their support.

“That support spans the grassroots right through to the elite level and has been a constant for 11 years which is a clear illustration of the success of the partnership and the commitment they have to Australia’s game.”

Toyota Australia Divisional Manager, National Marketing, Brad Cramb said: “This announcement follows what you could call the toughest pre-season on record for Toyota Australia. But as the top-selling automotive brand in Australia for the past 11 years our support for local communities, which is a fundamental part of our AFL commitment, is unwavering.

“Toyota is delighted to support and help grow the game we love, aligning our brand to the spirit and passion of Australian football, and reinforcing our commitment to the game at all levels.”
