RICHMOND has recalled premiership pair Nathan Broad and Brandon Ellis for Thursday night's clash with Adelaide, as the Crows again overlooked two veterans.

Broad and Ellis return for the match at Adelaide Oval, along with runner Connor Menadue.

The injury-hit Tigers have been dealt a blow, losing captain Trent Cotchin and midfield star Shane Edwards with hamstring issues.

They have also dropped Jacob Townsend after he failed to have an impact in his return to the senior side last week against Geelong.

Dustin Martin will captain the Tigers for the first time in his 212-game career.

The Crows will go in unchanged after their impressive win over Greater Western Sydney last week.

It means midfielder Bryce Gibbs and ruckman Sam Jacobs remain on the outer, with both named as emergencies for the Richmond contest.

Adelaide has kept the faith with in-form big man Reilly O'Brien ahead of Jacobs.

O'Brien received eight coaches' votes for his outstanding performance against Giants ruckman Shane Mumford last weekend.
