Victoria Metro has announced its under-18 boys squad ahead of the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships.

The squad features 28 players who represent Coates Talent League metropolitan programs the Calder Cannons, Eastern Ranges, Northern Knights, Oakleigh Chargers, Sandringham Dragons and Western Jets.

An additional eight train-on players have also been selected in the squad and may be elevated throughout the Championships.

The Victoria Metro squad features key position trio Cooper Duff-Tytler, Louis Emmett and Archie Ludowyke and midfielders Tom Burton and Oliver Greeves who were members of the 2025 Marsh AFL National Academy.

Emmett and Ludowyke both represented Victoria Metro during last year’s title-winning campaign.

Other familiar names selected in the Victoria Metro squad are Tom McGuane (son of Mick), Hunter Holmes (brother of Max) and Tyson Gresham (brother of Jade).

Eastern Ranges boys coach Lauren Morecroft has been appointed Victoria Metro coach and will become the first female to coach an under-18 boys team at a National Championships.

The 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships will be played during June and July and will feature the most talented under 18 boys footballers from across Australia.

Victoria Metro will commence its campaign on Sunday, June 8 when it takes on South Australia at Alberton Oval.

Metro will play against Western Australia at Mineral Resources Park on July 6 ahead of heading north to take on the Allies at Brighton Homes Arena on July 13. A clash against Victoria Country is set for July 20.

Victoria Country will announce its squad ahead of its first match.
