WESTERN Bulldogs are set to lose two stars for multiple weeks after ruling out midfielder Mitch Wallis and high-flying defender Hayden Crozier.

In a statement, the club said Wallis would be sidelined for at least the next 2-3 weeks after sustaining a bone stress injury in his ankle.

Crozier damaged a ligament in his toe after landing awkwardly in a marking contest on Saturday and he will be not seen until after the post the mid-season bye,” Bell said.

Medical services manager Chris Bell said Crozier would be "managed conservatively" and may not return until round 13 or 14.

Bell said Wallis would also be carefully managed.

"Mitch has suffered a bone stress injury in his ankle. This is the opposite side to the leg that he had the serious fracture in 2016," Bell said.

"We will work through the options to best manage Mitch's injury in the next 2-3 weeks but expect him to be unavailable for a short period of time."
