IT WAS just one of those rounds for many coaches, every time things looked on the up, there was something around the corner to bring them down to Earth. On a positive note, it was great to see the return to form of Adam Treloar and Zach Merrett after spending a week on 'The Mountain'.

Fantasy Pig

Elliot Yeo was true to form and lived up to every bit of his 'yo-yo' nickname. One week after receiving a rage trade nomination, he bounced back with a thumping 138 from 33 touches and 11 marks. Although he was in the bad books last week, he was never a player to trade out as he was always going to repay the faith.

Honourable mention: Steele Sidebottom extraordinarily still has low ownership despite his outstanding form, playing as much through the midfield as I have ever seen during his career. He scored a game-high 137 against the Crows in Adelaide which is no mean feat, collecting 43 possessions and laying seven tackles. His ownership is sure to spike this week.

Rage trades

Rory Sloane has been suffering from foot soreness but his Fantasy coaches aren’t having a bar of it. The star Crow had an absolute shocker that will likely see coaches go through with the trade. He managed just four kicks from his 16 touches and he didn’t register a tackle. He has to go until he regains full fitness.

Honourable mention: In similar circumstances, Dayne Zorko just isn’t getting it done and may need to be moved on. In the thrashing at the hands of the Tigers, Zorko managed just 63 points from 17 possessions and only laid two tackles. In the past, he has still scored well in heavy defeats, so this is a worrying sign.

David Mirra had a great debut in a win for the Hawks which will do the mature-ager's job security no harm at all. He fit in seamlessly, as you would expect given his history at Box Hill with 18 possessions and three marks for 56.

Matt Guelfi surprised a few by having an instant impact for the Bombers. He collected 17 possessions, took three marks and laid two tackles for a score of 64. He is cheap and will have a low break even this week, making him a tempting cash cow.

It shows it was a tough round given that even good teams like yours were susceptible to bad scores this week.

I wouldn’t be worried, but I would keep an eye on it. Imagine if he got DPP!

There is plenty of bad luck going around. Just focus on you own team and make the best moves you can with the cards dealt.

I am in the same boat, they all deserve to go. Having said that, assuming you have Laird I would trade Billings as there are a few good forward options like the underpriced Menegola.

Haha, ironically, it was the reformed Treloar and Merrett as my first and third highest scorers this week so I need to send the rest of my team there.
