Geelong skipper Mel Staunton joins Joe Pignataro and Gemma Bastiani on State of Play.
Having lost 16 consecutive games stemming back to the 2024 season, the Cats have shown marked improvement over the past fortnight to notch back-to-back wins over Carlton and the Western Bulldogs.
Staunton has played a key role in those victories, averaging 15 disposals, seven tackles and two goals per game across the two matches.
She joins State of Play to discuss the improved form, taking on the captaincy at 20 years of age and her journey to the game have grown up in a coastal town in New South Wales.
