The AFL and clubs will team up for the final four rounds of the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season and Rounds 1-3 of the NAB AFLW Season to celebrate and reward members and fans across the country in August for Thank You Month.
As part of the league-wide celebration of members and fans, there will be a range of rewards and surprises across matches in August, including special ticket offers, discounted food and beverages, limited-edition collectables and more. Members and fans will also have the chance to score even bigger rewards and surprises – such as tickets to the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final – through the Golden Ticket giveaway at select matches.
From halftime moments and big screen reveals to seat-based surprises and random acts of reward – members and fans attending matches across Rounds 21–24 and the opening rounds of AFLW are encouraged to keep their eyes wide open and their game-day energy high.
Thank You Month officially kicks off in Round 21, with Golden Ticket giveaways at Friday night’s blockbuster match between the Adelaide Crows and Hawthorn, as well as at Saturday night’s must watch game between Collingwood and the Brisbane Lions at the MCG, and on Sunday when Fremantle fight for their top eight spot when they host Carlton at Optus Stadium. Members and fans are encouraged to attend these games for their chance to score tickets to the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final.
At the MCG, there will also be limited-edition footy cards of Collingwood’s Nick and Josh Daicos given away to the first 2,000 kids aged 12-and-under through the gates.
AFL CEO Andrew Dillon thanked members and fans for all their support so far in 2025.
“The passion and dedication of the game’s loyal members and fans are the reason our game continues to thrive,” Dillon said.
“It has been a remarkable year so far, and we are on course for record membership, attendance and participation.
“We are extremely grateful to our fans and their ongoing support of the competition, and with plenty of great football still to be played in the finals rounds, plus the 2025 NAB AFLW Season starting on August 14, we want to see as many fans as possible at the footy throughout the month.”
AFL Executive General Manager of Customer and Commercial Bec Haagsma said Thank You Month was an opportunity to recognise members and fans who continue to show up as the AFL heads into the final month of the home and away season.
“The game is in a strong position and striving toward record numbers, thanks to the incredible support of our members and fans. As we move into August – with the AFL finals race sharpening and the NAB AFLW Season just around the corner – we’re focused on keeping that momentum going,” Haagsma said.
“Thank You Month is our way of celebrating and rewarding our members and fans who make our game so special and continue to show up.
“We can’t wait to see as many members and fans across the remaining home and away matches as possible enjoying the rewards and surprises as part of Thank You Month.”
Round 21 will also see Kids Go Free in Victoria thanks to a collaboration with the Victorian Government, with kids aged 14-and-under able to attend five blockbuster matches in the state for free.
The initiative is part of the Victorian Government’s AFL Events Package, which includes support for the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade and Footy Festival.
Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said:
“Footy brings people together, and this initiative means more kids can be part of the excitement at some of the biggest matches of the season. We’re proud to support events that create lifelong memories and showcase why Victoria is the sporting capital of Australia.”
More rewards and experiences up for grabs as part of Thank You Month will be announced by the AFL and clubs heading into each round throughout August.
Tickets for the Toyota AFL Premiership Season are available from Ticketek and Ticketmaster, with the Round 24 fixture and tickets on-sale dates to be confirmed in due course.
The 2025 NAB AFLW Season gets underway on Thursday, 14 August. Head to womens.afl for tickets.
