RICHMOND has signed premiership stars Shaun Grigg and Bachar Houli to one-year deals, while young defender Oleg Markov is set to stay at Punt Road till 2020.

Grigg and Houli, both 30, have been permanent fixtures in Richmond's senior side since joining the club in 2011 from Carlton and Essendon respectively.

The 190cm Grigg has once again reprised his unlikely role as ruckman Toby Nankervis' back-up this year, splitting his time between the midfield and the centre-square.

Houli has struggled to stay on the park at times this year, missing nine games with soft tissue concerns, including a medium-term groin injury.

After 15 AFL games in his first two seasons, the 22-year-old Markov hasn't been able to break into Richmond's senior side this year, but has managed 10 VFL games in between calf and knee injuries.

"We're really pleased that Shaun, Bachar and Oleg will continue their football journeys with Richmond, they're fantastic players and people," Richmond general manager of football Neil Balme said.

"Oleg is an exciting young talent and we're really happy with how he's tracking. We're looking forward to seeing him continue his development next season and beyond.

"Bachar and Shaun provide such great experience and leadership for us in addition to their on-field contributions, so we're rapt they've signed on for next season."

The batch of re-signings leaves only Nathan Broad and Jacob Townsend as 2017 premiership Tigers out of contract, with Gold Coast key forward Tom Lynch believed to be joining the club over the off-season.
