THE MARK that made Leo Barry a star has been voted by the fans as the No.1 finals moment of the televised era.

The Sydney defender's game-saving mark against West Coast in the 2005 Grand Final secured the Swans' first premiership in 72 years.

Commentator Stephen Quartermain captured the moment, shouting "Leo Barry, you star", adding to what has become the most famous match-saving mark in the game's history.

Barry's mark edged out Alex Jesaulenko's iconic mark in the 1970 Grand Final, which was voted in at No.2. That moment was also accompanied by Mike Williamson's famous piece of commentary, "Jesaulenko, you beauty!"
