NORTH Melbourne will be without important half-back Jamie Macmillan for Friday night's clash against St Kilda because of hamstring soreness.

Macmillan was a late withdrawal 90 minutes before the clash at Etihad Stadium, with speedster Jed Anderson brought into the 22 as a late replacement.

Macmillan has played every game this season and averaged career-high possessions (19.91) and rebound 50s (4.27). He is also ranked No.1 at the Kangaroos for metres gained (448.3 a game).

Despite speculation that key defender Jake Carlisle would be a late withdrawal, St Kilda's line-up was unchanged from the 22 named on Thursday night.
