ST KILDA has dropped former No.1 draft pick Paddy McCartin for its clash with Collingwood at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

McCartin had been under pressure following two quiet games to start the year, and has been sent back to the VFL to find some form.

Former Hawk Shane Savage has also been dropped as the Saints hand a debut to Ben Long, who was taken with pick No.25 in last year's NAB AFL Draft. Midfielder David Armitage also comes back into the the side following a groin injury.

Jamie Elliott's much-anticipated return for the Magpies has been confirmed, the injury-riddled small forward taking the place of ex-Docker Chris Mayne.

Lion Claye Beams will play his first game of the year with brother Dayne after being named for the twilight clash with Richmond at the Gabba. Cedric Cox, last year's No.24 draft pick, will debut for the Lions, with Jake Barrett and Sam Frost dropped.

Ben Lennon is out for the Tigers. who have recalled Connor Menadue.
