SYDNEY will unveil top draft pick Oliver Florent for his senior debut in Saturday's clash with Port Adelaide at the SCG.

The 18-year-old forward played all three JLT Community Series matches, averaging 13 disposals and booting two goals in his first game, but was stunned to be told of his selection against the Power.

"I am in shock, I never thought I would play so early and I am just so excited to get out there with the team," Florent said.

"In the team meeting before training John Longmire called me up and asked me a few questions before saying I was playing round one.

"Everything else was a blur pretty much – standing there in shock, in front of the boys as they were slapping the walls and going crazy.

"It was a really good experience."

Florent was taken at pick 11 in last year's NAB AFL Draft after impressing at the Draft Combine, where the Sandringham Dragons product ran an equal-best 15.1 beep test.
