AFL Tribunal, Tuesday June 27

The AFL wishes to advise the Tribunal will sit tonight at 5.30pm, to hear the cases listed in the order below, after Richmond’s Bachar Houli was referred directly to the Tribunal and West Coast’s Will Schofield elected to contest his charge.

AFL Tribunal, 5.30pm, Tuesday June 28:
Bachar Houli, Richmond, has been charged with striking Jed Lamb, Carlton, during the first quarter of the Round 14 match between Richmond and Carlton, played at the MCG on Sunday June 25, 2017.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Carlton Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with high impact to the head. The incident was referred directly to the Tribunal for its decision. The player has no record which impacts the penalty.

Will Schofield, West Coast, has been charged with striking Clayton Oliver, Melbourne, during the second quarter of the Round 14 match between West Coast and Melbourne, played at Domain Stadium on Saturday June 24, 2017.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Melbourne Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head. The incident was classified as a two-match sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacts the penalty.

Dane Rampe, Sydney Swans, has accepted a $1000 sanction for wrestling against Joe Daniher, Essendon, during the second quarter of the Round 14 match between the Sydney Swans and Essendon, played at the SCG on Friday June 23, 2017.

Joe Daniher, Essendon, has accepted a $1000 sanction for wrestling against Dane Rampe, Sydney Swans, during the second quarter of the Round 14 match between Essendon and the Sydney Swans, played at the SCG on Friday June 23, 2017.

Nick Robertson, Brisbane Lions, has accepted a $1000 sanction for striking Nathan Wilson, GWS Giants, during the first quarter of the Round 14 match between the Brisbane Lions and the GWS Giants, played at the Gabba on Saturday June 24, 2017.

Easton Wood, Western Bulldogs, has accepted a $1500 sanction for striking Taylor Garner, North Melbourne, during the first quarter of the Round 14 match between the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne, played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday June 25, 2017.

Ben Cunnington, North Melbourne, has accepted a one-match sanction striking Toby McLean, Western Bulldogs, during the fourth quarter of the Round 14 match between North Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs, played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday June 24, 2017.

Hayden Ballantyne, Fremantle, has accepted a $1000 sanction for striking Zach Tuohy, Geelong Cats, during the second quarter of the Round 14 match between Fremantle and the Geelong Cats, played at Simonds Stadium on Sunday June 25, 2017.
