SYDNEY midfielder Daniel Robinson has expressed interest in leaving the club as he searches for greater opportunities elsewhere. understands the 23-year-old, who played five games this season, has approached the Swans to see if a trade can be arranged.

At this stage no clubs have come forward to target the ball-winner, who is contracted until the end of 2018.

The Swans will need adequate compensation to enter a deal for Robinson, who has played 16 games for the club since joining the Swans as a New South Wales scholarship selection in 2013. Injury troubles have also prevented him from being a regular player at senior level.

It shapes as a relatively quiet NAB AFL Trade Period for the Swans, who are tipped to lose youngster Sam Murray to Collingwood.
