PORT Adelaide veteran Darcy Byrne-Jones has copped a one-match ban for a bump on Sydney superstar Errol Gulden on Saturday night.

Byrne-Jones ran past the ball and collected Gulden, who was cleared of concussion and played out the remainder of the game.

Despite Gulden being cleared of any serious injury, Byrne-Jones has been cited for rough conduct, with the incident assesses as careless, medium impact and high contact.

It means he will miss next weekend's game against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.

Elsewhere, Sydney's Tom Papley was fined for tripping, Geelong's Jack Martin was cited for careless umpire contact - making it four such charges for the Cats this season, one away from the threshold that has seen other teams fined $20,000 - and Melbourne star Kysaiah Pickett was cited for staging for a free kick in the first quarter of his side's thrilling win over Fremantle.

Pickett made the most of a tackle from Dockers star Hayden Young close to goal, winning a free kick despite replays indicating Young had not caught him high.
