Important ruckman Lachie McAndrew should return for Friday night's clash against Fremantle after being managed for a week, with several changes looming for the Crows. Key forward Darcy Fogarty is available for selection after serving a three-match suspension in a major boost to the forward line, while midfielder Jake Soligo would have benefited from a one-week rest. Defenders Nankervis and Borlase are pushing to return from one-match injuries, with Borlase shaping as an important inclusion against Fremantle's three tall forwards. Murray is also pushing to be available. In the SANFL, midfielder Chayce Jones (27 disposals and nine clearances) was the Crows' best and was selected as an AFL emergency. Keidean Coleman is available after exiting concussion protocols, but it's hard to see him coming back into a winning team for Saturday's QClash against Gold Coast at the Gabba. In fact, with McCluggage still another week or two away, it would be a shock to see anything but an unchanged team to take on the Suns, although dropped Bruce Reville was strong in the VFL last weekend, as were James Tunstill, Sam Marshall and Will McLachlan. - Michael Whiting

The Blues face a decision on Jacob Weitering (19 disposals, 12 marks) ahead of Sunday's clash against the Dogs after he impressed in the VFL on his return from a long-term calf injury. Ollie Hollands (27 disposals, six tackles) and Liam Reidy (29 disposals, 13 clearances) were also among the best, but don't expect many changes from a side that's been in form and is gunning for a wildcard place. - Riley Beveridge

Collingwood could regain Pendlebury and De Goey for Saturday night's blockbuster against Hawthorn after the pair missed the trip west. Harry DeMattia and Wil Parker both travelled as emergencies and didn't play VFL last weekend. Jack Buller kicked four goals but the Magpies' forward line is functioning well right now. Howe, Maynard and  Perryman are all still unavailable down back for the Pies. – Josh Gabelich

The Bombers are set to regain Clarke for Sunday's clash against Sydney after the youngster missed the trip to Geelong due to concussion. Nick Bryan could return, but Vigo Visentini was solid in the ruck and may retain his spot, while Parish is still sidelined with a calf injury. Robey and Ridley have now been ruled out for the season. Jade Gresham (24 disposals and four goals) was the standout Bomber in the VFL, while Elijah Tsatas (31, eight clearances) and Saad El-Hawli (20) were busy. Nik Cox kicked two goals and Tom Edwards marked his return from injury with a major from 16 touches. – Dejan Kalinic

Captain Alex Pearce will be a vital inclusion after getting a valuable week off in the lead-in to finals, with key defender Oscar McDonald the likely player to make way. There were others down on form against Melbourne, but extensive changes are not the Dockers' way, particularly with the body of work this team has built. The form of Sean Darcy in the WAFL (56 hitouts, 18 disposals and a goal) will ensure the second ruck position is debated this week, while half-forward speedster Chris Scerri remains an option if change is made based on form or management with two games to play before finals. On the injury front, Wagner and Walker face fitness tests before being cleared to play this week and have each been on the cusp of selection when fit. – Nathan Schmook

Cameron will return to main training this week as he eyes a potential return for the final round of the season. Holmes is still several weeks off a return, but he is off crutches and slowly building his activity. Conway is gradually increasing his loads after foot and knee surgery as he looks to build a foundation for the 2027 pre-season. Patrick Dangerfield could make his return after spending the past two weeks in the sidelines, while ruck Mitch Edwards is a potential inclusion to face North's Tristan Xerri. The VFL side had a bye last weekend but Jack Bowes is coming off a strong outing against Collingwood and awaits his next senior opportunity. - Michael Rogers

Coach Damien Hardwick has some difficult decisions ahead of the trip north to face Brisbane on Saturday. If Collins is available, he's an automatic inclusion, however if he's still out Oscar Adams could be named to help cover the Lions' tall forward set-up. The Suns rested impressive teenagers Jai Murray, Beau Addinsall and Dylan Patterson last week, but coming off a drought-breaking win against Greater Western Sydney does Hardwick bring them straight back in for more experience, or does he go with a winning line-up? - Michael Whiting

Laverde was in obvious discomfort on Sunday and the club has confirmed he suffered a punctured lung, with his fitness to be assessed again later in the week. Bedford is a chance to face the Eagles after hurting his back against the Suns, although O'Halloran will miss at least a week due to a hamstring issue. With their season all but over, the Giants have 16 players on their injury list in what has been a frustrating campaign - Martin Smith

Nash has now been ruled out for the remainder of 2026 due to the complicated nerve issue in his neck, which has sidelined him since round 11. Scrimshaw faces a fitness test after battling a knee issue in the second half of the season. Bailey Macdonald was managed for the game against Brisbane after a decent stint in the senior team. Box Hill had the bye, so the likes of Calsher Dear, Aidan Schubert, Max Beattie and Finn Maginness didn't get a chance to push their cases for senior selection on the weekend. - Josh Gabelich

Latrelle Pickett will also return in the twos after his concussion as he looks to win back his senior spot. Powell has aggravated an existing groin injury and is no certainty to play again this season. Coming off their worst loss of 2026 against Sydney, Port has some good news ahead of hosting Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night. Mitch Georgiades has overcome a viral infection and will resume his place, as will the much-improved Joe Richards, who has missed the past three matches with a finger injury. Jones will likely return to replaced suspended Byrne-Jones, while all eyes will remain on Horne-Francis who appears to have escaped with what looked a serious knee injury. - Michael Whiting

Luke Trainor is now available after serving a one-week suspension, while Lalor is a test after hurting his knee in a collision against Adelaide. Balta has been ruled out for the season, having not recovered in time. Harry Armstrong booted four goals on return from injury in the VFL, while Maurice Rioli (16 and seven clearances) was one of the best, rotating between the midfield and forward line. - Sarah Black

Huge blow for the Saints' wildcard chances with Wanganeen-Milera suffering a moderate-grade hamstring strain on Sunday night. Wood has also been ruled out, while Ryan and De Koning will need to prove their fitness ahead of Saturday's game against Richmond. The Swans are likely to welcome back Brodie Grundy from parental leave to face the Bombers, while Dane Rampe could also return after being managed last week. Will Green would make way for Grundy, while it would be a call between Lewis Melican and Joel Hamling to drop out for Rampe. McInerney is back in team training and is aiming to return in round 24, while Jai Serong's work in midfield could keep Angus Sheldrick out of the side again, similarly for Malcolm Rosas after Jesse Dattoli's impressive game against Port earned him a Telstra Rising Star nomination. - Martin Smith

Lucca Grego has produced a run of form in the WAFL and could be rewarded with his first AFL game since round 24 last season. While the Eagles were improved against Collingwood, there is scope to make changes based on form as midfielder Finlay Macrae (31 disposals and eight inside 50s in the WAFL) pushes for selection. Hewett suffered a corked calf in the WAFL but could also be called on if fit, while wingman Hamish Davis (19 and a goal) is available after being dropped a fortnight ago. In attack, Malakai Champion and Tyrell Dewar are options if the Eagles choose to select a smaller forward line. On the injury front, star midfielder Harley Reid is expected to be available after copping a corked leg against the Magpies. The long break between games at this point of the year will help freshen up the Western Bulldogs after a disappointing loss to North Melbourne. English has been ruled out of the final fortnight of the season and is in doubt for the wildcard final at this stage after injuring his MCL last Thursday night. Dale and Budarick are pushing to be back for round 24. Mid-season recruit Caleb May could make his debut against the Blues, while Louis Emmett is another option in the ruck if Luke Beveridge looks for more support around Rory Lobb.  – Josh Gabelich
