The AFL has announced the 2026 Talent League Teams of the Year.

The teams feature the leading boys’ and girls’ players from the Talent League season, in all positions.

Selection in the Teams of the Year takes into consideration a player’s entire season, including performance in the Talent League, Marsh AFL National Championships, VFL/W matches and any other matches through the Talent Pathway.

The Dandenong Stingrays and Western Jets had the highest representation in the respective girls’ and boys’ teams, with five Stingrays girls and five Jets boys named in the 24-player teams.

2026 TALENT LEAGUE GIRLS TEAM OF THE YEAR

Geelong Falcons’ Ava Bilyk was named captain of the Talent League Girls Team of the Year after a dominant season that saw her crowned the best and fairest player at the Marsh AFL National Championships and named U18 Girls All Australian captain.

Bilyk averaged 28 disposals and seven tackles across nine Talent League home and away matches in 2026.

Talent League girls best and fairest winner Peggy Rock was named in the forward pocket, after an exceptional season with the GWV Rebels and Northern Territory Academy as a bottom-age player.

2026 TALENT LEAGUE BOYS TEAM OF THE YEAR

Sandringham Dragons’ defender Tyson Bradley crowned his outstanding season by being named captain of the Talent League Boys Team of the Year after also being crowned Victoria Metro's MVP at the Marsh AFL National Championships.

Bradley was one of four Dragons players named, alongside Albert Macgowan, Gus Teixeira and Arki Butler.

2026 Morrish Medal winner Harvie Cook was one of three Northern Knights players named in the team, alongside teammates Harry Van Hattum and Sam Gayfer.
