BRISBANE is challenging the one-game ban given to midfielder Lachie Neale for his behind-the-play strike on Hawthorn's Jack Ginnivan during the preliminary final.

If the suspension is upheld, Neale will miss Saturday's Grand Final against Fremantle.

The 33-year-old's whack on Ginnivan was graded as intentional conduct, medium impact and body contact by Match Review Officer Michael Christian.
