FOLLOWING a second hat-trick of premierships this century, debate will rage over which Brisbane team is better.

Rather than weigh up the merits of the respective teams that played in different eras, AFL.com.au has decided to compile the best combined team from the Lions' two hat-tricks.

The criteria is simple – you only have to have played in one flag to be eligible, but the more usually means the merrier.

There are some unlucky omissions, but the 23 selected is a star-studded crew full of Brownlow Medals (five between four players), All-Australians and best-and-fairest winners.

When members of the current team leave or retire with even greater resumes than they currently have, this unit might change, but for now, here we go.
