PORT Adelaide has confirmed it is open to offers on Todd Marshall during the trade period, but says Miles Bergman will not be going anywhere this off-season.
Marshall's name had been raised in negotiations between Port and the Western Bulldogs as part of the Zak Butters move, but a deal for Marshall between the two clubs was knocked on the head by the AFL last month.
Marshall, who is contracted for another three seasons on around $800,000 a year, played just 15 games this year after missing the 2025 campaign due to an Achilles injury.
Power list boss Jason Cripps confirmed on Thursday that Marshall remains a trade option, saying some public criticism of his recent performances has been "borderline disrespectful".
"We have had open and honest discussions with him on his future (and) what is best for him and what's best for us," Cripps told Continental Tyres AFL Trade Radio.
"We have to be aggressive with our list decisions ... we need multiple picks and multiple players.
"We think Todd does have value in the market as a key forward, although there has been some commentary around that. It's been borderline disrespectful around Todd, but people are entitled to their opinion.
"But clubs do have interest. People need to be mindful and remember Todd is coming off an Achilles injury where he missed 12 months and he's had some concussion challenges also. But prior to that, he has kicked 45 goals in a season and 36 in another. Those key forwards are hard to find.
"We've been having open dialogue with Todd and will continue to do so. We're not sure where it ends up, but clearly we're trying to be creative and aggressive with the end goal of bringing in picks."
While the Power is open to offers for Marshall, Cripps says Bergman will not be going anywhere.
Bergman, 24, is a free agent at the end of next season and has been the subject of some trade speculation this season.
But Cripps said he is not open to offers this year for the Victorian, who has played 118 games for the Power across seven seasons.
"We are not having any discussions around Miles leaving," Cripps said.
"He's a Victorian and when he last came out of contract, most Victorian clubs had an interest in Miles and I would expect that won't change in 12 months.
"He is a really important part of our future. He's had some challenges with his body, but he's clearly a very good defender and we've experimented with him through the midfield.
"He's a quality person, he's a leader around the club ... he's an important part of our club going forward and we would love to retain him."
