COLLINGWOOD superstar Nick Daicos has added a second Copeland Trophy to a swag of awards he has collected in the past month, including the Brownlow Medal, Leigh Matthews Trophy, AFLCA Player of the Year Award and a fourth All-Australian blazer.
The 23-year-old was a clear winner in the Magpies' best and fairest count at Crown Palladium on Friday night, polling 519 votes under a new system in 2026 to finish clear of older brother Josh and last year's winner Darcy Cameron.Â
In the same room Daicos polled a record 47 Brownlow votes, the midfielder added a second Copeland Trophy to his growing CV after first winning the award in 2024 – he has finished twice on two other occasions.
Daicos became just the fifth player in history to win the Brownlow, AFLPA MVP and AFLCA champion player award in the same season and now matches the two E.W. Copeland Trophies his father Peter won in 1982 and 1988.Â
The now four-time All-Australian led the AFL for disposals (797) and score involvements (206) in 2026, while averaging 10.8 contested possessions, 6.6 inside 50s and 5.7 clearances per game.Â
Josh Daicos claimed the R.T. Rush Trophy after an ultra consistent season earned him selection in the All-Australian squad for the first time since he was named in the team in 2023 when he won the best and fairest in a premiership season.
In the shock result of the night, given the external focus on his output at the club and noise around a departure this October, Dan Houston finished fourth in the count.Â
The dual All-Australian finished just ahead of gun defender Isaac Quaynor, while Billy Frampton was seventh and won the Gavin Brown Award for best defensive pressure this year.
Dan McStay finished sixth after the best season of his career and also took home the Gordon Coventry leading goalkicker award after finishing with 47 majors, as well as the Bob Rose Award for the club's best player in the finals, following his four-goal performance in the wildcard final.
