NORTH Melbourne has its eyes on former Richmond tall Samson Ryan as a delisted free agent.
The Roos are on the lookout for another tall to add to their ruck stocks and are understood to have Ryan on their radar.
Ryan was delisted by the Tigers earlier this month with a year to run on his contract.
However a number of clubs have enquired about Ryan since then, with North frontrunner to land him once the delisted free agency window opens in November.Â
Ryan, 25, played 31 games at Richmond after making his debut in 2021, including six appearances for Adem Yze’s side this year.
He has links at North Melbourne, with recruiting boss Will Thursfield formerly at the Tigers, as well as assistant coaches Xavier Clarke and Kane Lambert, who has joined the club this off-season.
The 205cm Ryan has shaped as a back-up option for clubs, with the Roos expected to be busy in the DFA market.
Carlton and St Kilda are among the other clubs looking for ruck options over the DFA, draft or pre-season rookie windows, with the Blues to also sign former Pie Wil Parker once the delisted free agency period begins.Â
