The AFL wishes to congratulate former Melbourne and Hawthorn player Ken Feltscheer, who today celebrates his 100th birthday.

Ken played four games for Melbourne in 1935-36 and a further 43 games for Hawthorn between 1937-43.

The AFL doesn’t have complete birth/death records for every player to have played through the VFL/AFL’s history from 1897, but Ken’s milestone to reach 100 is believed to be one of few in history for a senior-level player.

The AFL can provide family contact details for any interested media, as Ken has remained in good health.
