EXCITING midfielder Darcy Parish will play his first game of the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships on Sunday as Vic Country take on Vic Metro at Simonds Stadium.
Telstra and AFL Media will broadcast the clash live, with the first bounce set for 12pm AEST.
Parish, who has missed the first two rounds of the carnival as he continued his recovery from a broken thumb, played for the Geelong Falcons last week in his first game for seven weeks and gathered 25 disposals.
He is seen as one of the most complete midfielders in this year's crop, with damaging run, skill and nous making him a possible top-five selection.
His inclusion will boost an already unbeaten Country line-up, which is favourite to win this year's division one title with a team littered with highly touted draft prospects, including possible No.1 pick Jacob Weitering, Josh Schache, Rhys Mathieson and Darcy Tucker.
The teams played a thrilling contest in round one, when Country youngster Jy Simpkin kicked a goal after the siren to give his side a five-point win after Vic Metro had dominated play.
Vic Metro lost again last week to South Australia, but have been led well by dynamic midfielder Harley Balic and Nick O'Kearney, who continues to gather plenty of the ball. Balic will be rested for this week's clash.
AFL Media will also live stream four more games later in the national carnival.
