This 12 month parental leave contract, presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive & experienced Communications Coordinator to be the first point of digital contact for member & fans. The Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring a high level of engagement for West Coast Eagles members and fans through the Membership Services Centre communications channels.

The core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Coordinate the creation of eDMs, direct mail and SMS campaigns, and other outbound communications to members and prospects.
  • Prepare promotional campaigns and communication strategies for the membership and merchandise departments, including membership acquisition, ticketing and merchandise sales.
  • Develop the communications calendar to ensure club material is distributed in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain the club’s email campaign manager, TM Messenger.
  • Internal analytics reporting to assist with the preparation of marketing campaigns and budget allocation.
  • Assist in maintaining the club’s website and information platforms (Membership, Team Store and Kids websites)
  • Assist with all database duties, including data collection campaigns, database accuracy, and prospect identification.
  • Ensure information regarding transition to the new stadium is communicated to members and prospects.
  • Assist with member engagement initiatives during all home matches and with the delivery of membership and club events. 

The successful candidate will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, very strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to show initiative. It is also desirable to have demonstrated experience with conflict resolution, customer service and problem solving skills. 

This role requires highly developed computer skills, including use of databases, the Microsoft Office suite of programs and demonstrated experience with an email campaign manager. A tertiary qualification in communications or marketing is desirable as is experience in a communications, public relations or marketing role.

 There is a requirement for all full time staff to assist on match days and other events as required by the club, which includes weekends.  The remuneration and benefits provided factor in this requirement. This 12 month parental leave contract will begin on 1st June 2015 to allow for a handover period.
