STEVE Johnson, who plays his 253rd and last game for Geelong on Saturday, has been named official ambassador of the Toyota AFL Grand Final Live Site. 

Johnson, who is yet to announce whether he will continue playing at AFL level next season, will headline player promotion for a precinct that will feature of host of interactive activities for fans of all ages.

The live site in Yarra Park, next to the MCG, will be part of an expanded build-up to this year's Grand Final. It will run in conjunction with the Foxtel Footy Festival, which will include concerts, movie screenings, food and wine offerings, plenty of football-related events and appearances by AFL players and stars of popular Foxtel programs including The Real Housewivesof Melbourne, Pawn Stars Australia, Wentworth and Australia's NextTop Model.

Other features of the festival include:

* Performances of all AFL club theme songs by The Australian Voices Choir.

* A Game of Thrones-themed fire-breathing dragon.

* A Disney Channel-themed family zone featuring an ice-skating rink.

The live site and the festival will run from Wednesday, September 30 until Saturday, October 3, with free entry. The Yarra Park precinct will also be the finishing point of the Toyota AFL Grand Final parade on Friday, October 2, a public holiday in Victoria.
