NEW COLOURS and now a new number.

That's life at Greater Western Sydney for star recruit Ryan Griffen who will don the No.32 guernsey at the Giants this season.

Griffen wore the No.16 jumper with distinction in 202 games for the Western Bulldogs and now gets the chance to create a different legacy at the Giants.

The All Australian midfielder takes the No.32 jumper vacated by the retiring Josh Hunt, with youngster Nathan Wilson remaining in the No.16 jumper.

Fellow recruit Joel Patfull will continue wearing the No.24 guernsey – a number that served him well in 182 games for the Brisbane Lions – after joining the Giants in the off-season.

Draftees Jarrod Pickett (No.26), Caleb Marchbank (No.34), Paul Ahern (No.13), Jack Steele (No.38), Patrick McKenna (No.42) and Jeremy Finlayson (No.47) have also been handed their new numbers.

Pickett takes over Jon Giles' old number, following his move to Essendon, while Ahern inherits Tom Boyd's former guernsey after he left to take up a big money offer at the Bulldogs.
