BRENT Stanton has been on the receiving end of plenty of grief from his own fans, but the 29-year-old is enjoying yet another productive season with the Bombers, and his long-term record stacks up pretty well with many of the greats of the game.

Stanton is seventh in the AFL this year for kicks per game and sits just shy of the top-20 in overall disposals. He's notched 461 possessions heading into this weekend, making it the tenth season in a row he has achieved such a feat.

He's also pulled in over 100 marks this year for the 11th straight season, the best streak of any active player outside of Nick Riewoldt.

Elsewhere, the Demons are back at Etihad Stadium this week, a ground that holds nothing but dread for the red and blue, having lost their last 21 games there. Can they buck the trend with an upset win over the Bulldogs on Sunday?

Check out who else is challenging history this weekend.
