KEY Carlton defender Simon White has been subbed out of Friday night’s game against West Coast after appearing to aggravate an injury to his left knee.

White’s absence will leave the Blues undermanned in defence against Eagles tall forward Josh Kennedy and ruckmen Nic Naitanui or Scott Lycett, both of whom are expected to spend some time in attack.

The 26-year-old White started the game with strapping on his knee, but limped from the ground during the first quarter.

He was replaced by Clem Smith, who was also subbed into last week’s game against Richmond early after a shoulder injury to Dale Thomas.
