THE WESTERN Bulldogs will haul themselves into the top four for a tilt at back-to-back flags.

That's the view of Bulldog fans who delivered their mid-season verdict on the reigning premiers in an AFL.com.au survey.

Mid-season review: What's the Bulldogs' biggest concern?

The Dogs resume after their bye in sixth position on the ladder with a 6-4 record, but a clear majority of fans believe the double chance remains well within reach.

Here are the survey results, plus a selection of Bulldog fans' views.

It'll be a good year for the Bulldogs if ...

We go back to back. We are on the same track as last year, under the radar!
- Deb Edwards, Sunbury Vic

Bob Murphy runs off half-back, evades three or four players through the centre and kicks a goal from 55m to win the Grand Final.
- Glenn Nijenhuis, Traralgon Vic

Jake Stringer keeps playing like his 2015 All Australian best and Johannisen re-signs.
- Shaun O'Reilly, Sale Vic

Ninety per cent of the list is available come finals and the Dogs finish top four.
- Kiel Brooks, Kilkenny SA

We go back to back and Bob, Lin, Mitch, Red and the other boys who missed last year get to play in the Grand Final.
- Mark Rust, Mount Hawthorn WA

Bont gets a Brownlow, Tom Boyd takes lots of pack marks and Bob gets his medal.
- Grant McMenemie, Melton Vic
