"My time playing at the Saints has come to [an] end. I really want to thank the football club for letting me play the game I love so much," Weller's post read.

"The relationships and experiences I've had at the club are ones I will never forget. Thank you to the players, who I also want to wish all the best for the next year and beyond.

"Thank you to Allan (sic) for the opportunity and guidance over the last five years."

Weller crossed to St Kilda at the end of 2013 after playing 32 games at Gold Coast.

He finishes his time at Moorabin after 89 matches, including 13 this year. He struggled to hold his spot in the seniors at times despite strong form in the VFL.

It appears Weller holds out hope of furthering his AFL career, having finished his post with "hopefully more to come".
