SHANE Mumford's rocky return to football has suffered another forgettable moment, with the Greater Western Sydney ruckman set to come under Match Review scrutiny for a high hit on George Hewett during Friday morning's practice match against Sydney.

Mumford, who played just the second half as he returns from a hamstring setback, struck Hewett with a swinging arm during an off-the-ball incident late in the game.
The Swans midfielder received a high contact free kick for the collision, though was able to get up and take his kick.
The veteran Giant, who is returning from a year out of the game, will already be unavailable for selection until round three due to a club-imposed suspension for the 'white powder' snorting video that surfaced late last year.
Mumford, who went 2-0 as a professional heavyweight boxer in his year off and intends fighting again after the AFL season, recognised he needed to show more caution on the field.

"I think I've got to be a lot more careful with the way I go into contests now," he said.
"With any contact with the head you obviously risk suspension and things like that.
"Like I had to modify the way I tackled as well a couple of years, when you can't dump people any more. Got to evolve with the game and I guess I'll have to."
The AFL has confirmed players can be reported and suspended for incidents that occur during a series of unofficial scratch matches that are taking place over the next week.
All punishments will be served during the home and away season, rather than the JLT Community Series.
Although his two-match ban to start the year was a club-imposed suspension, the League has also confirmed that a further on-field punishment cannot be served concurrently.
It would mean that any potential suspension following the incident involving Hewett would add to the two games he is already set to miss to open the year.
GWS plays Essendon, West Coast, Richmond and Geelong to start the season.
