It was a second loss for Vic Metro this year, who also fell to cross-state rival Vic Country last weekend.

Highly rated draft prospect Matt Rowell was one of Metro's best, recording 24 disposals, eight clearances, six inside 50s and a goal.

Josh Worrell (18 disposals, six marks and four goals) is usually found in defence, but the Vic Metro big man was his side's best while shining in the forward line.

Daniel Mott also played well in the middle for Metro, finishing with 24 disposals, eight clearances and seven marks.
