STUART Dew is "comfortable" with the contract progress of Jack Lukosius and Ben King, saying there's no rush for the top-end talent to recommit to Gold Coast.

FULL FIXTURE Every round, every game

Earlier this week, No.3 draft pick Izak Rankine extended his stay with the Suns until the end of 2022, turning attention to Lukosius and King.

"We're comfortable where they're at," Dew said on Friday morning.

"We don't want to sell anything, we want them to make their own decision based on what they see around the club.

"With that knowledge, we're really comfortable they'll make the right call and we look forward to that."

We think it'll happen when they're ready, we don't want to put any deadlines on it - Stuart Dew on Jack Lukosius and Ben King

After following Adelaide in his youth and training with Port before being selected by Gold Coast one pick ahead of Rankine, Lukosius will always be linked to a return home until he signs on.

The same goes for No.6 pick King, whose twin brother Max plays for St Kilda.

Both Suns have fitted in well in their new environment, living with CEO Mark Evans, and playing plenty of football in their first year.

Both are contracted until the end of 2020.

"We think it'll happen when they're ready," Dew said.

"We don't want to put any deadlines on it.

"We think given how they are, how they're training and playing, how they've integrated in the club and Gold Coast, that'll come when the time's right.

"There's certainly no rush."

Gold Coast has made just two changes to the team thrashed by Richmond last week for Saturday night's game against Adelaide at Metricon Stadium.

Michael Rischitelli and Sean Lemmens have come in for injured duo Jack Martin and Wil Powell, leaving tall forward Peter Wright to play in the NEAFL.

"He'll be first to admit he's been down on his best, in terms of influencing the game," Dew said.

"Like we said to Sam (Day) earlier in the year, we're not set on one formation but for this week we want Pete to go back and dominate.

"We need him impacting the contest, taking his marks and hitting the scoreboard."
