GEELONG superstar Patrick Dangerfield looks set to join teammate Gary Ablett as the only players to poll Brownlow votes against all 18 teams.

Dangerfield only needs St Kilda to complete the set and last week in the Cats' 27-point win, the 2016 Brownlow medallist picked up 32 disposals and kicked a goal in a dominant performance.

He was awarded the three votes in AFL.com.au's Brownlow Predictor and appears certain to pick up at least one vote on Brownlow night.

Ablett achieved the feat last year when he polled against Gold Coast in his first match against his former side. The modern-day great had already polled against the Cats during his seven-year stint at the Suns.

Out-of-favour Adelaide midfielder Bryce Gibbs could also achieve the feat this year with Carlton the only team he requires to complete the set.

But the 30-year-old would need to get back into the senior side ahead of next week's meeting with the Blues.

Sydney superstar Lance Franklin is the other player within striking distance of the feat, needing only Gold Coast to complete the set.

But he missed the Swans' win over the Suns this season so will need to wait another year.

FULL FIXTURE Every round, every game

Time appears to have run out for Luke Hodge, Jordan Lewis and Shaun Burgoyne to achieve the feat, while Dan Hannebery, Dayne Beams and Tom Rockliff remain a chance in the coming seasons.

Meanwhile, star Cat Tim Kelly (22 votes) holds a one-vote lead over Carlton superstar Patrick Cripps (21) in the Brownlow Predictor with Fremantle's Nat Fyfe (19), Dangerfield (19) and Brisbane gun Lachie Neale (18) rounding out the top five.
