CARLTON key back Liam Jones will miss the Blues' clash with West Coast on Sunday following the passing of his mother.

Jones, 28, has been in strong form after missing seven games in the middle of the season with back and concussion issues.

Hugh Goddard, who has recovered from a fractured cheekbone, has come into the side for Jones and will be facing an Eagles line-up featuring spearheads Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling.

Zac Fisher has recovered from the illness that forced him to miss last week's win over Adelaide, with Paddy Dow omitted to make way.
