JOSH Jenkins will seek a trade to a third AFL club after coming to a "mutual agreement" with the Crows.

Jenkins struggled this season to hold his spot in Adelaide's side and confirmed on Wednesday he would be keen to head "anywhere" to continue his career.

"I'll look at other opportunities in 2020. I am contracted to the Crows, and more than willing to continue playing for them if that's what eventuates over the next 6-8 weeks, but I think it's mutually beneficial for both of us," the 30-year-old said at the launch of AFL Trade Radio on Wednesday.

"The Crows are looking to move in a different direction and I still feel like I've got more than adequate footy at the level so that's where we're at."

Jenkins, who started his career at Essendon as a rookie before joining the Crows, has played 147 games for Adelaide, including 11 this season.

His manager Paul Connors said his client would be willing to take a significant pay cut to start at a new club. The Crows said they would be willing to send Jenkins to a new home.

"After recent conversations it became clear that it is in the best interests of both parties that Josh looks to reinvigorate his career at another club," the Crows' list manager Justin Reid said.

Jenkins kicked 22 goals from 11 games this year, after booting 46 last season. But the Crows have not made the finals in two years since their Grand Final appearance in 2017.

He said he still believed he could contribute at the top level.

"It's unfolded over the last 24 months. We've seen us as a club probably not end up where we thought we would. We played in a Grand Final and I was a part of that, but it hasn't gone the way we'd like since.

"We're at the point where we don't have a senior coach and you'd imagine the club's going to look at reinvigorating the list with youth.

"I'm 30 so I guess perhaps they don't see me as a part of that. I feel like I can play good footy at AFL level so let's see if we can make that work elsewhere."
